Thanks to a group of involved neighbors, the Merwinsville Hotel is available for public tours. The station is open on Sundays, from July through September from 2-4 PM.

At the museum are examples of important areas of the station such as the waiting area, the post office and, of course the rest room.
Views of some telegraph equipment that would have been typically installed in the station.
This area would have been the lobby for the hotel guests.

A unique feature of the station is the  four staircases joining the first and second floors. On the 3rd floor is what remains of the 20' x 60' ballroom. On the sides were dressing rooms. Looking to the north from the 3rd floor. The railroad tracks are in use today by the Housatonic Railroad.
These are some of the exhibits that are available for inspection.
In 1977, the Merwinsville Hotel was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Thanks to the work of the members of the Merwinsville Hotel Restoration project, the hotel is open to the public on Sundays during the summer.
